The Minister of state for Science and Technology, Barr. Mohammed Abdullahi said Nigeria will leverage on the technological capacities of European countries such as Poland for the development of Science, Technology and Innovation in Nigeria.
Barrister Mohammed said this when he received in a working visit, the Ambassador of Poland to Nigeria, Amb. Joanna Tarnawaska in his office in Abuja on Tuesday.
Barrister Mohammed said that Nigeria, in line with her economic sustainability and diversity programme will strengthen it’s ties with Poland, adding that bilateral relations would be to the mutual benefits of both countries.
He further emphasised the development in specific areas of economy and technology, which would strengthen the historic ties between both nations.
The Minister reiterated the determination of the Federal Government to diversify the economy, advance technology, create employment and lift millions of Nigeria out of poverty.
In her remark,the Polish Ambassador, Amb. Joanna Tarnawaska said that her country is actively seeking avenues to cooperate with Nigeria, especially in the areas of Science, Technology and Innovation.
She praised the prowess of Nigerians in various field of human endeavors, further saying that The cooperation between her country and Nigeria will stimulate socio- economic prosperity of both countries.
