ABDULLAHI, MOHAMMED HASSAN is the Minister of Environment and a former Minister of State for Federal Ministry of Science Technology & Innovation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria until April 6th , 2022. He was Born on the 21st April, 1968 and hails from Karu Local Government Area of Nassarawa State, North Central Nigeria. He is trained as a lawyer from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991 after the completion of his studies at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos. He is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and as well as a Founding Partner of Messrs Hammart & Co, Solicitors & Advocates, Abuja.
Until his appointment in 2019 by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve in a Ministerial capacity and Cabinet-Member, he was the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Nasarawa State (2017-2019).

Politics
Best known for his tranquil nature and versatile intellect, he is considered as one of the astute political leaders of Nassarawa having been rising steadily to power and political leadership since 2006 when he first became the Deputy Chairman of his Local Government, Karu LGC in Nasarawa State.
In 2019, he was one of the highly favoured aspirants to represent the Nasarawa West Senatorial District in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under his chosen political party- All Progressives Congress (APC) until party elders in the State reign in on him to step down for the purpose of party unity and cohesion.
He was Secretary to Nassarawa State Government (SSG) between 2017-2019 until his appointment as a Federal Minister by President Muhammadu Buhari. He was also a two-time Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General for Nasarawa State.

In 2019, during the Ministerial screening in the Senate (the Upper Chambers) of the National Assembly, Mr. Mohammed Hassan, described himself has having interest in Reading, Music, Traveling and Photography. He believes that in a life Ideology that: “Life is challenging. It takes courage to start and patience to sustain progress not just with strength but with knowledge/understanding. So while you wait for the result of what you have created, learn more and do more as much as you can”. He is married with children.
